Like this:
It is said that
Ramana heard a word
so pure and clear
that when he put it in his verse
it was utterly transparent
and could not be seen before or after or from behind.
Men hearing it and seeing it passed it by
without the slightest acknowledgment
and even prophets only felt
the slightest flutter of bird wings
without so much as a shadow.
It is found that
only by turning
everything on it's side
so that only a long dappled line
of uttered wisdom remains
where once thousands of words and ink
tried to give form to the unnameable
can even then the faintest hint
of a window's outline
of difference be noticed.
And only then by the stillest of minds
with hearts like a calm ocean of joy.
What he found left him
in such utter awe
that he remained motionless
speechless, radiant, without need
of nourishment or company
for years on end
and bringing profound peace
to all who came near
and many yet to come.
It is known that the host of God
sent to bring that word
to those fertile ears and heart
still remain
surrounding the entrances
to the temple
and that those wishing to enter
must pass by not only their fierce gaze
which can turn living flesh
to pillars of pure salt stone
but also withstand
the deafening chorus
of their unending praise
